"Me? Go to a chiropractor? You must be kidding!" That was four months ago, before I fell on an ice patch hiding just below a dusting of snow. After two weeks of aspirin and sleepless nights, my wife and daughters conspired to help. Enter Dr. Jeffrey Leber, now my new best friend. Actually, the story started 20 years prior, when a woman ran a stop sign and ended my Professional Bowling career. Seven months later, after many, many muscle relaxers, I gave up! No more pills. I decided to just put up with the pain. Over the years, the pain comes and goes depending on the amount of activity expensed. My neck was never back to normal.
So when I first saw Dr. Leber, I was just hoping he could help me with my lower back and leg pain. After the first few visits, I hurt more after the treatments than when I entered his office. He explained what he was doing and asked me to have hope. I walked out of his office with a smile after the fourth visit. I was on my way. My lower back pain was starting to ease and the pain in my leg was disappearing. Ten weeks later, I was more active than I have been in years. As an extra bonus after 16 weeks, my neck pain from the accident is almost gone. My range of motion is better than ever. So thank you Jeffrey for sharing your hope. I think I'll go bowling next week. So, if you know anyone struggling with pain, send him or her to Dr. Leber. I am sure he can help. And don't forget to ask him about his future bride, Hope.
